1Ingredients

- 1 cupWater
- 0.1 tspPinch of Salt
2Instructions
- 1
Rinse the fresh cranberries thoroughly under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed cranberries, granulated sugar, water, and a pinch of salt.
⏱ 1 min - 2
Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
⏱ 3 min - 3
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cranberries will begin to burst, and the sauce will thicken slightly.
⏱ 10 min - 4
Remove the saucepan from the heat. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools. Transfer the cranberry sauce to a serving bowl or airtight container.
⏱ 1 min - 5
Allow the sauce to cool completely to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the sauce to set to a perfect consistency.
