Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar evenly over the melted butter. Arrange the slices from one ripe banana in a single layer over the sugar mixture at the bottom of the pan.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
